On September 8, 2021, a U.S. Special Operations Forces AC-130 gunship conducting live fire training in the Gulf of Oman observed approximately 25 instances of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs). The crew recorded the objects as cold orbs on infrared sensors, flying at speeds between 250 and 1300 miles per hour, sometimes in formation and sometimes maneuvering erratically.
